Q: Can I use the program benefits right away? A: Your online application is processed immediately and you will receive a confirmation and "temporary" card in your browser window with your VA Travel member number (letters followed by digits) to use until your membership card is sent in the mail. Within minutes, you will also receive an email with additional program information and a link to the picture of your temporary card, so you can use the program benefits right away. Q: When will I receive my Membership ID card? A: Your new member ID will be mailed within four weeks of submitting your application. Along with your ID card you will receive a New Member Kit that will explain the VA Travel program benefits and services. Q: When will I receive the free the VA Travel online newsletter? A: The VA Travel member newsletter is a bi-weekly publication (sent by e-mail twice a month.) It contains information on new and existing program benefits plus content of interest members and their families. Your first issue will be sent within the two weeks of your joining. You must supply us an email address to receive this publication and may opt out at any time. Q: How do I find out about my benefits online and any special codes that are required? A: When you have enrolled in the VA Travel Card you can just go to member benefits. |
